Lisbon’s Off-Road Trails and City Sightseeing

A bike ride is an excellent orientation to Lisbon and its sites, as seen from vantage points shared by few. We’ll begin our tour with a warm up ride through Lisbon’s downtown area until we reach Monsanto Park, aptly known as Lisbon’s lungs.

Monsanto Park offers a great variety of off-road options through the wooded hills over paths with options of single-track, gravel and dirt forest tracks that at times can be rocky and/or muddy. There are frequent, but short climbs.

We will circumnavigate the park, with great views of Lisbon, we will then descend towards the Tagus River to the Belem Quarter with its amazing heritage. Once in Belem, we will continue along Lisbon’s new waterfront bike lane, enjoying some great views at a relaxed pace.

Summer Time Suggestion:

Keep the Bike after the Tour, take a Ferry and ride to Costa da Caparica Beach for a swim!

Lisbon Mountain Biking Tour Note:
We do not have a pre-set route for this tour; instead we prefer to offer you a unique biking experience matching your physical ability, riding skills and special interests. Normally our ride can easily be completed by everyone including those with less or none off-road biking experience as long as comfortable and used to ride in urban traffic.

Children Policy:
This tour has an age limit of minimum 12 years and should be use to riding on roads with some traffic.
